Sometimes eating feels automatic, even when you don’t want it to. You might also notice what many people describe as 'food noise' - frequent thoughts about food that can feel distracting or difficult to switch off.
You know what to do, yet the urges feel stronger than your willpower. You might feel frustrated, guilty, disappointed, or even ashamed, but the truth is, you're not broken.
Mindless and emotional eating isn’t a failure of discipline. It’s your nervous system, your habits, and your environment trying to protect or work for you, often in ways that no longer serve you. Understanding why this happens is the first step to reclaiming control.

This workshop isn't a lecture about food choices and it isn’t about rules or restriction. It's a guided, interactive day designed to help you understand your own patterns of thinking and behaving more clearly, and begin responding differently.
Throughout the day, we'll explore:
- The triggers and unconscious patterns that drive your mindless or emotional eating.
- Why 'food noise' happens and how awareness and internal support can help quiet it over time.
- How your nervous system influences urges, stress, and cravings.
- Practical ways to regulate your emotional state through breathing, movement, and awareness.
- How urges behave, and how to pause before reacting.
- The role your environment plays in shaping habits, often without you realising it.
- The emotional needs that may sit underneath certain eating behaviours.
- The identity shifts that support long-term behavioural change to become someone who can respond to emotions without food.
There will be small group discussions and individual reflection opportunities, so that your learning is based in your own reality and circumstances.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a clearer understanding of your own patterns and a personalised strategy to support more conscious choices moving forward.
