If you're a woman aged between 40 and 55 years old, then chances are you're dealing with some of the symptoms of Perimenopause and Post-Menopause - symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, itchy or dry skin, joint pain, unexplained weight gain, insomnia or poor sleep quality, brain fog, mood swings, headaches and more! In this very special bonus webinar, we invite Dr. Wendy Sweet (PhD), women's healthy ageing expert, to share her wisdom around Menopause, and how this natural life transition is impacted by and affects WLS and post-surgery results.

This is for anyone impacted by Menopause and the years before and after, including if you're the partner of a woman going through this life stage.

Here's Dr. Sweet's message to you:

"Millions of women think that menopause is ‘just’ about hot flushes and brain fog. But it’s not. A variety of oestrogen receptor locations in our brain, muscles, liver, gut, skin and other regions, means that declining hormone levels in menopause impact on many other symptoms that women may be experiencing.

Women therefore, need a multi-system approach to managing their symptoms, including specific lifestyle changes.

I’m Dr Wendy Sweet (PhD) from New Zealand. With my own menopause symptom struggles as well as incredible weight gain, anxiety and continual feelings of stress, this led me to explore this life-stage as part of my doctoral studies on women’s health and ageing through the University of Waikato’s Faculty of Health, Sport and Human Performance. I learnt that when we go into menopause, which is when we move through the final hormonal changes that herald in the end of our biological reproductive years, we need to adjust to this stage, through specific lifestyle changes.

With a changing hormonal environment, what we’ve done in the past to manage our health, energy and our weight, simply may not work anymore.

There’s been very little research on the menopause transition for a cohort of women who are the first generation to go into menopause in the context of the phenomenal changes in our lives over the past few decades. That’s why it gives me great pleasure to share some insights with those of you on the Fresh Start Program."
